1) Everyone here is REALLY nice. Not just the Midwesterners - everyone. The west coasters, the New Yorkers, the international students, etc.
2) These kids are smart. Usually, in group settings, I have a tendency to cringe inwardly (ok, so maybe outwardly as well) when people ask questions. I mean, let's be honest - in many, many, many group settings, the only people 'brave' enough to ask questions in a large (300+) group setting are those too stupid to realize that they should never open their mouths in public. However, I've yet to hear a single moronic question asked all weekend - I've heard only thoughtful, intelligent and VALID questions. Clearly, I am solidly in the 'there is such a thing as a stupid question' camp.
3) That whole 'windy city' thing? They ain't kidding.
